Diamond Alumni Centre, SFU Burnaby, BC

Academic Women at Simon Fraser University is proud to present three events on September 25th, 2017 related to the publication of The Equity Myth: Racialization and Indigeneity at Canadian Universities.

From 11:30am - 1pm, contributing author Dr. Malinda Smith will give a talk in the Diamond Alumni Centre at SFU Burnaby.

Preceding the talk, Academic Women will host a book discussion (10am -11:15am in AQ 6229) for those who want to get into the book more deeply, and strategize ways to enact some of its principles and recommendations in our departments, programs, and classrooms.

Finally, in AQ 6229 at 2pm, there will be an informal discussion with Dr. Smith for people of colour and indigenous people.

All events are open to people of all genders; students and staff are most welcome to attend. SFUFA has generously provided funding to support this event.
