Practices and Perspectives
Prison Theatre offers a variety of perspectives on a range of practical and theoretical approaches to the use of drama and theatre in prisons and probation but also in secure settings including the use of creative processes to examine the roots of offending behaviour and in building prisoners' confidence, self-esteem and communication skills.
The Blagg! and Pump! drama workshops combine dynamic drama techniques to explore issues of anger management and offending behaviour. They can be easily adapted to suit the particular needs or backgrounds of a variety of groups, from probationers and prisoners to 'at risk' youths. Both are appropriate for use with groups with behavioural problems.
