Learning with Syeyutsus Speaker Series is a series of lunch-time talks created by the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Public School District in collaboration with UBC Press. It features renowned authors at the forefront of Indigenous issues pertaining to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Call to Action #57.  The series covers a range of topics including true histories, pedagogies, self-determination, land resurgence, and stories to spark ideas for further exploration and deeper learning. It runs from October 13 to  May 26, 2021. Speakers in the series include authors Jerry Fontaine, Linda Goulet, Keith Goulet, Wendy Wickwire, Lindsay Keegitah Borrows, Jody Wilson-Raybould, Jo-ann Q’um Q’um Xiiem Archibald, Harold Johnson, Sakej Youngblood Henderson, Sarah Nickel, Paulette Regan, Jim Reynolds, Jody Wilson-Raybould, and Sébastien Malette.
