Richard White wins Ontario History Society's Fred Landon Award

UBC Press is pleased to share that Richard White's Planning Toronto: The Planners, The Plans, Their Legacies, 1940-80 has won the 2017 Fred Landon Award for the best local or regional history in Ontario book published in the last three years.

The Honours and Awards Committee of the Ontario Historical Society calls Planning Toronto an "insightful, well-illustrated, and relevant work on the drivers of city planning in the postwar era that exposes both the tensions and contradictions of the planning process."

The award was presented on June 10, 2017, at the Annual General Meeting of the Ontario History Society.
