Award-winning author and activist Heather Menzies, author of Meeting My Treaty Kin, will share being challenged to change her colonial and white superiority thinking when working with the Nishnaabeg of the Stoney Point Reserve. She learned to listen, and to relate to them on a treaty basis of mutual respect and equality.

Heather Menzies is a two-time winner of the Ottawa Book Award and Adjunct professor at Carleton's School of Indigenous and Canadian Studies.
