Performing the Pilgrims

Traces how the representation of pilgrim settlers to North America has evolved over the past hundred years at the Living Museum of Seventeenth-Century Plymouth, in the town of Plimoth Plantation. Beginning with simple glorification of their ancestors, people acting out the parts began more realistic portrayals, particularly after the cultural revolution of the 1960s.
